With one week to go until we start famining, I suppose we're thinking more about just how we' re going to survive a week living off just two dollars a day. In some ways we've been lucky - porridge is seeming somewhat more edible and definitely feasible. We've also done well in sourcing a range of foodstuffs which hopefully are affordable and will provide us with a range in our meals.
Scott has been brilliant on the publicity front - soon to have an article published in the local paper spreading the news about the organization and what we're all fighting for!
We're anticipating tiredness, hunger and most likely irritability to follow the next week as we live how so many in the world do everyday.
About Live Below the Line
Scott Walsh and Hannah Degotardi have taken on the task of living of $2 per day from May 16th - 20th for all food and drink. 1.4 billion people live on $2, and they make it go much further then just food and drink.
We are living in poverty, for poverty. All proceeds go to the Oaktree Foundation, to help the recently opened school in PNG stay in operation. Kids from Yangis haven't had access to a school or education in over 20 years, until the Oaktree Foundation established a school.
Donations to either of our pages are listed on the right. Thanks alot :D
